Challenge

A large pan island developer needed real-time camera access to remote construction sites for the next two years. We contacted Airtel-Vodafone who arranged a data package to allow several cameras access to the internet by way of 4G connectivity.

Solution

The cameras are active 7 days a week for interested parties to access and they also send a 4K image every 5 minutes to the cloud to allow the creation of a timelapse via the 4G connection.

Some eighteen months on, I can honestly say that the service experienced from all sites has been outstanding and whist I would not normally advocate a 4G solution for a business solution such as this, with no fixed line option, it’s worked exceptionally.

Key to the success of this service has been the support at the end of the phone whenever called. They don’t have a complex system of support just a manager’s number to call.

I have called his number out of hours several times and on a Sunday once to leave a message and had him call me back to my surprise. This makes my life so much easier when dealing with clients.
